‘Ali (Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Allah’s messenger (ﷺ) put me in charge of his sacrificial animals, that I should give their flesh. skins and saddle cloths as sadaqah, but not to give anything to the butcher, saying: We would pay him ourselves.
Allah’s messenger also said: ( Whoever sells the skin of his sacrifice, there is no sacrifice for him ) narrated by Al Hakim in al mustadrak
From the above ahadith, we learn that it is not permissible to sell any part of the Udhiyah since it was sacrificed for the sake of Allah. If there is no need for the Udhiyah meat, then it should be gifted to poor and needy people.
