It is obligatory on each Muslim young or old, male or female, rich or poor to give Zakat-ul-Fitr if he has food exceeding his and his dependents’ needs for one day and one night. A Muslim must pay on his own behalf and on the behalf of financial dependents that he is obligated to support such as his children and wife. IAR uses contributed funds to purchase and deliver food to qualified recipients locally or via our international partners.
Obligatory on every Muslim, male or female, who has a surplus of money, called "Nisaab" exclusively used for a narrow selection of programs.
Donations for the Daily Iftar Program are being sought from the Community. The amount needed to cover the cost of Iftars is about $4000 per day. Donations are sought to cover the costs of the Iftar throughout the month of Ramadan. There is opportunity to sponsor a day ($4000), a 150 person-Iftar ($2000), a 75 person-Iftar ($1000), iftar for one person ($13.30) or whatever amount you can donate. Your generous donations are requested and may Allah SWT reward you for your good deeds.
