Directly touching private parts without any barrier:
Nullifies with or without lust – majority (Maliki, Shafa’i, Hanbali, from the companions: Umar ibn al-Khattab, Abdullah ibn Umar, Abdullah ibn Abbas, Abu Hurairah, A’isha, Sa’id ibn Abi Waqqas)
Does not nullify without lust – Hanafi, from the companions: Ali, Abdullah ibn Mas’ood, Ammar ibn Yassir, al-Hasan al-Basry, ath-Thowry
Excessive bleeding:
Nullifies – Hanafi and Hanbali
Does not nullify – Maliki and Shafa’i
Vomiting (mouthful):
Nullifies – Hanafi and Hanbali
Does not nullify – Maliki and Shafa’i
Touching a woman:
Under all circumstances
Nullifies – Shafa’i
Touching lustfully:
Nullifies – Maliki, Hanbali, Hanafi
Does not nullify otherwise
Eating camel meat:
Nullifies – Hanbali
Does not nullify – majority
Washing a dead body:
Nullifies – Hanbali
Does not nullify – majority
Sleep in all cases, even light sleep:
Nullifies – Dhaahiri and al-Albanian
Does not nullify – majority
