The scholars disagree on whether or not the dead hear the talk of the living people. Some believe they do, while others believe the dead do not hear the living.
What the scholars unanimously agreed upon is the following.
What benefits the dead is the following:
1- Offering charity on his behalf.
2- Beneficial knowledge that the deceased has left behind.
3- A righteous child who will make du`a for him.
We rely on our generous community to create a lasting impact and ensure the continuous operations of your Masjid as the gathering place, school, and house of worship for Muslims across the Triangle.
Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.”
