โ€“ Wuduโ€™ should be done when possible.
โ€“ If there is a possibility that wuduโ€™ may harm the injured body part, cause the condition to worsen, or increase the pain, then wiping the injured body part is permitted.
โ€“ If wiping would also be harmful, the injured body part should be wrapped and one should gently wipe with water over the wrap.
โ€“ It is not necessary to be in a state of purity while placing the cast or wrap (Hanafi and Maliki).
โ€“ There is no time limit for wiping, as long as the condition in question exists.
