A Muslim’s ability to give gifts does have restrictions, such as in the case of one experiencing “final sickness” or being on his/her deathbed. In that situation, one may not give what he/she owns to a favorite child, for example, or to his Masjid. Muslims also cannot give gifts with the intent of infringing on the Islamic inheritance rights of another individual.
