  • Washing the face at least once
  • Washing both hands, up to and including the elbows, at least once
  • Wiping the head at least once:
  • All of the head, according to Maliki and Hanbali
  • ¼ of the head, according to Hanafi
  • As few as 3 hairs, according to Shafa’i
  • Washing both feet at least once

*Note: make sure there is nothing covering the body parts that must be washed for ablution that would prevent water from touching the area: ex., paint, wax, nail polish, tight ring, etc.
