If a husband divorces his wife, can she leave the house and go stay with her parents during her waiting period?

Allah says in Surah Talaq, verse 1, what could be translated as: ( O Prophet (SAW)! When you divorce women, divorce them at their ‘Iddah (prescribed periods), and count (accurately) their ‘Iddah (waiting period which is 3 menstrual cycles). And fear Allâh your Lord (O Muslims), And turn them not out of their (husband’s) homes, nor shall they (themselves) leave … ) It is clear from the verse above that women should not leave their homes during their waiting periods and must stay so they can fulfill the purpose behind this mandate. Allah demanded the couple to stay together during this waiting period so that they miss and go back to each other and reconsider the divorce decision.
