Seeking Principal for Al-Iman School at Page

We are seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Principal to guide our institution into a new era of excellence. We are looking for an Academic and Administrative Leader and to serve as Principal of AIS-P. 

Al-Iman School@Page (AIS-P) is a new Islamic Association Raleigh (IAR) school established at the Page Road campus.  We are striving to establish a thriving new Islamic school dedicated to spiritually, academically, and socially nurturing students. Our mission is to develop well-rounded individuals grounded in Islamic values, academic excellence, and a commitment to serving their communities.  

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessing educational needs: Conducting interviews, tests, or evaluations to identify students’ strengths, areas of growth, and learning styles or to assess the effectiveness of educational programs.
  2. Developing educational plans: Help teachers develop students’ academic goals, guide them to create study plans, and choose appropriate courses or schools for their academic growth. Lead efforts to work with other schools or organizations to develop new curricula and/or programs.
  3. Providing educational advice: The Consulting Director can provide advice on a variety of topics, such as school admissions and student learning needs, provide professional development for teachers, and support curriculum/instruction and assessments.
  4. Evaluating educational programs: Assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement. Lead in the curriculum development and implementation.
  5. Providing professional development to teachers: Observe and evaluate educator/teacher effectiveness and provide professional development opportunities. Conduct quarterly teacher observations/evaluations per school guidelines.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Creating Annual School Calendar and Master Schedule
  • Developing a Calendar of Events
  • Reviewing and Guiding Teachers in Weekly Lesson Plan
  • Conducting Weekly PLC (Professional Learning Community) Meetings: this may include student data analysis.
  • Quarterly Meetings with Parents and as needed via Zoom/Google Meet or in-person: This may include providing information on school-related activities.
  • Monthly Newsletter for Parents
  • Weekly Message for Teachers
  • Help set the School Budget
  • Work with the Committee Chair as needed

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s or PhD degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  2. Proven leadership experience in an educational setting (preferably in Islamic schools).
  3. Strong understanding of Islamic values, culture, and traditions.
  4. Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to inspire and engage students, staff, and parents.
