IAR Shura Elections Results

Dear IAR community,
On behalf of the Islamic Association of Raleigh, please join me in congratulating the newly elected members of the Shura (listed alphabetically):

We ask Allah to bless their efforts and grant them success as they prepare to begin their term on January 11th, 2026.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of the candidates who were not elected this cycle. Your willingness to volunteer, serve, and step forward for the sake of this community is truly admirable. May Allah reward your intentions and efforts, and may He continue to open doors for your service in many other meaningful ways.

A special thank you as well to our community for the wonderful voter turnout. Your engagement, your voice, and your dedication to the well-being of IAR are what keep this institution strong. Your participation is an essential part of our governance, and we are grateful for it. As a reminder, Shura meetings are held on the second Sunday of every month at 9:00 AM. Every IAR member is always welcome and encouraged to attend, observe, and be part of the process that shapes our shared future.

A very special thank you goes to Br. Rasidul Amin and the entire Election Committee for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism. Their commitment ensured a fair, transparent, and smooth election process that our community can trust and be proud of.

As I near the completion of my term as Chairman, I want to say that it has truly been an honor to serve you. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together. We have faced challenges, embraced opportunities, and continued to grow as a community rooted in faith, compassion, and service.

With the help and guidance of Allah, I am confident that our community will continue to thrive, overcome hardships, and move forward with strength and unity.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for being the heart of this institution.

Warm regards,
Osama Said
