Asalamu Alaikum Dear IAR Members

I hope this message finds you in the best of health and Iman. I want to remind you of the upcoming Shura election and the crucial role your participation plays in shaping the future of our organization.  Voting is the cornerstone of our democratic process, and it empowers you to have a direct impact on the decisions made by your masjid. Your vote is your voice, and it matters immensely in determining the direction we take as a community.

Here are some key details about the upcoming election:

     

      • Voting Period: The voting period will begin on Sunday, November 19th, at 12:00 AM and will continue until 3 PM on the same day. This gives you a wide window of opportunity to cast your vote.

       

        • Electronic Voting: To make the process as convenient as possible, we will be using electronic voting. Each eligible member will receive a unique voting link via email from  [email protected]on the day of the election. Please ensure that you check your email for this important link. Keep in mind that it may have been inadvertently filtered into your spam folder. To ensure a fair and accurate election, each unique link can only be used to cast one vote. Members are eligible to vote in a Shura election if by March 1st  of the election year, they are current in payment of their membership dues.  If you have any questions regarding your eligibility, please reach out to the membership committee via email at [email protected]

         

          • In-Person Voting: For those who prefer to vote in person or encounter any issues with electronic voting, the Election Committee will be available on-site from 11 AM to 3 PM on Sunday, November 19th. You can visit IAR during this time to cast your vote in person. Eligible members will need the email which was sent to them in order to cast their ballot on site. If you are unable to locate the email, a member of the election committee will be available to assist.

           

            • Election Results: We are committed to transparency, and the election results will be posted online later in the evening on the same day. 

          Your participation in this election is vital, as it will determine the individuals who will represent you and guide our communities’ activities in the upcoming term. Your vote will help ensure that our community’s needs and aspirations are well-represented. I urge each and every one of you to mark the date and time of the election in your calendars and to make your voice is heard. Your vote can make a difference, and together, we can continue to strengthen our organization and community.
