The Islamic Association of Raleigh congratulates you on the approach of Eid Al-Adha on Friday, June 6th.
IAR follows the official announcement of Eid Al-Adha date by Saudi Arabia, as do the vast majority of fiqh councils and the ummah worldwide in observing a unified Day of Arafah and Eid holiday. The blessed first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah start on Wednesday, May 28th.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) encouraged us to take advantage of these holy days by increasing in our acts of worship: fasting, prayer, supplication (duaa), remembrance (dhikr), and all good deeds. Fasting is highly recommended, particularly on the special Day of Arafah, occurring on Thursday, June 5th.
The 2025 Udhiyah/Qurbani cost is $150 per family. The collected funds will go to our Muslim brothers and sisters in need in the Rohingya community, Yemen, Cameroon, and Sudanese refugee camps in Chad through trusted organizations like Islamic Relief USA, Zakat Foundation, and the BDesh Foundation. Pay online or in the IAR lobby by June 3, 2025.
