Know Your Rights
The Friday Night Program for September 28 from Maghrib to Isha is a workshop titled “Know Your Rights” led by Sr Maryam Al-Zoubi.
If you don’t know your rights, you don’t have rights. Learn how to protect yourself and your family.
All Americans have constitutional rights that the government cannot violate. Immigrants also have rights. But unless you know your rights in every situation, you cannot protect yourself.

URGENT DONATION REQUEST TO HELP HURRICANE VICTIMS
Alhamdulillah, our community is blessed to have weathered the storm here in the Triangle. Others around the state were not so fortunate, and we pray for those who have lost lives, homes and businesses, and are struggling to rebuild in the aftermath of Florence. Those of us who were spared the worst have a duty to help our community members in the areas that have been devastated by the storm.

Month of Muharram
The IAR congratulates the community on the blessed occasion of the month of Muharram and the new Hijri year. It is encouraged to fast a great deal during the month of Muharram.
It is the Sunnah of our Prophet (peace be upon him) to fast the day of ‘Aashuraa’, falling on Thursday September 20, along with the day before or the day after. The Prophet (peace be upon him) says in a hadith on the reward for this fast, “It wipes away the sins of the previous year”, we ask that Allah accept from us all.
