Important: Message for community members

Assalamu Alaikom Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Beloved Brothers & Sisters,

If there was ever a time for our community to remain vigilant it is now. As the cases of COVID-19 continue to spiral upwards in North Carolina, 90% of counties are in the red or orange zones for viral spread including Wake County.

For this reason, the IAR Leadership requests all of our community members to stay home if you are sick, have a fever, have been near someone with COVID-19 or if you have recently tested positive for COVID-19 or have any of the following symptoms as identified by the Center for Disease Control (CDC):

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19.

***COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported – from mild symptoms to severe illness.

We are delighted to highlight the amazing work of our community in this impact report.
