IAR Health Night

The IAR Health and Wellness team has organized Health Night for the Friday Night Program on November 2 between Maghrib and Isha prayers.

The Duke Hospital Chaplain Services will provide information on Clinical Pastoral Education and Volunteer Programs.

Quran Contest Awards

The 2018 Quran Contest Award Ceremony will be held on Friday November 9 after Isha prayers in the IAR multi-purpose hall.

Join the ceremony with your family and friends. All winners and participants will be recognized and refreshments will be served.

Marketing Committee Positions

The IAR is delighted to announce the formation of the marketing committee. The Marketing Committee sets the vision for and manages the overall marketing strategy of the IAR. 

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Work with the IAR-CEO to define the short-term and long-term marketing needs.
  • Contribute to and review the marketing plan to ensure progress toward annual and long-range goals.
  • Set priorities for marketing efforts; evaluate plans and strategies; and present outcomes to admin team.
  • Work with different committees to coordinate efforts around, public relations, website, social media communications, newsletters, annual report, and other marketing projects.
  • Identify and recruit community members to serve on the Marketing Committee.
  • Engage in advocacy and networking.
  • Keep our community members informed with all the current activities and services that we offer.

Requirements: bachelor’s degree in marketing research or a related field, business administration or communications

Time Commitment: about 4 – 8 hours per month. These are volunteer positions.

Blissful Home

The Friday Night Program for October 12 is “Blissful Home – Family Life in Modern World” by Mohammad Farhan.

Our guest speaker has specialized in Islamic Theology, Islamic Economics, and serves as the director of Children of Adam.

Beyond Hifdh Program

An-Noor Quran Academy, in collaboration with Al Hirz Institute is excited to present “Beyond Hifdh Program” for An Noor Alumni.

This program is focused on improving our youth’s understanding and application of Islam through special, engaging classes and fun-filled activities. Classes will be held once a week on Friday from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at IAR.

The program will include evening / overnight program on the fourth Friday of every month. Cost for the program is $200 due in full first week of the program.

Registration is open to ANQA Alumni and current full time Students of ANQA, as well as the community at large. Details

Journey of a Lifetime

The Friday Night Program for October 5 is titled Journey of a Lifetime, Umrah Memories with IAR.

The panelists will share their unique experiences and lessons learned.

Scratch Coding Session

The Youth Committee is offering Scratch Coding Session for Middle School students.

Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively and is developed by the MIT Media Lab.

The session will last for six weeks starting on October 12 through November 16. We meet every Friday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on the 3rd floor of the masjid.

Wisdom for Rightful Living

The Living Islam Series of classes taught by Imam Abutaleb and Imam Muamar attempts to contextualize the Prophetic guidance in our contemporary lives through the Forty Hadith of Imam Nawawi.

The goal of the Wisdom for Rightful Living class is to seek closeness to Allah through the understanding of central principles of faith, law, worship, life, and spirituality.
