Anatomy of Hate
IAR and the Light House Project will present a screening of the Time Magazine and the Marshall Project’s new short documentary on Our Three Winners “The Anatomy of Hate”.
The documentary examines bias-fueled violence and the definition of a hate crime.
The film sheds light on the way our nation is responding to rising levels of bias-fueled violence and how we define what constitutes a hate crime under the law.
The film will be shown Friday February 21st after Isha prayers in the Main Prayer Hall.
Uniqueness of Muslim Ummah
IAR Youth Committee and Al-Furqan School is hosting a 8-week class on Sundays beginning on March 1 from 11 AM – 12 noon at IAR.
The class will be taught by Mohammad Hannini titled, A Nation Like No Other – The Uniqueness of the Muslim Ummah.
Faith Among Youth: Crisis of Addictions
Why are youth of faith struggling to keep faith? What are the causes and solutions?
IAR will be hosting a workshop led by Imam Eesaa Wood from Al-Furqan Foundation to explore the crisis of various addictions and their impact on our youth.
Parents and youth (ages 13 and above only) are invited and encouraged to attend the workshop on Saturday February 22 from 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm at the IAR.
Ummi & Me Weekly Story Time
Come join us for story time at Ummi and Me! The youngest members of our community are invited with their caretakers.
Every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the Main Prayer Hall. Activities include story time program, featuring sing-a-long, nasheeds and learning with lots of friends.
Upgrading audio
We are planning to upgrade the audio speakers in the main prayer hall over the next few days.
During this install, we will pray in the gym / multipurpose hall to allow the installation team to complete the work.
