Itkan of IAR Vanguards, a rookie FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, delivered a remarkable first appearance by going undefeated at their regional qualifier and earning multiple major awards. At the same event, the team was named Captain of the Winning Alliance and received the Judges’ Sustain Award, recognizing both competitive excellence and long-term program sustainability. At the FIRST LEGO League State Championship, Itkan of IAR Suibot Exploras won the Championship Runner-Up Award, qualifying for the WAFFLE international competition hosted at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in June. This achievement places the team on an international stage and highlights the impact of sustained mentorship and community support behind the Itkan robotics program.

Itkan of IAR Suibot Exploras earned the Regional Qualifier Championship Award at their FIRST LEGO League competition and received the Robot Performance Award for achieving the highest robot performance score at the event. The team’s strong showing in both innovation and robot performance secured their advancement to the FLL State Championship.

In their debut season, Itkan of IAR Wired Brains—a rookie FIRST LEGO League team—won 1st Place Core Values Award at their regional qualifier. This recognition reflects excellence in teamwork, professionalism, and collaboration, and earned the team advancement to the FLL State Championship.

HUGE NEWS! Our FTC Robotics team, Itkan of IAR, are the NORTH CAROLINA STATE CHAMPIONS!! 🏆 They conquered the competition yesterday with an undefeated record, leading the winning alliance! Even more amazing, that winning alliance included our sister team, Itkan of JIAR! An incredible display of collaboration between our Masajid (IAR and JIAR)! 🤩 This means BOTH Itkan of IAR and Itkan of JIAR are advancing to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! Representing NC, USA, our Masajid, our community, and our deen on the world stage! 🙌 This achievement is a testament to the tireless dedication and hard work of our students, coaches, and the continuous support from our masjid and community. Beyond the championship title, Itkan of IAR also won the 2nd Place Think Award for their meticulous engineering design process! 🤯 And let's not forget, they hold the NC State record score AND the top FOUR highest scores in the state! 🔥

Marvels of IAR Suibot Imams one of three FLL teams at IAR. The team of 6 kids triumphed in the State First Lego League Championships bringing home the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP first runner-up title and inshallah headed to Houston our community and to represent North Carolina with Ihsasn in the world championships.

We are thrilled to share the exhilarating news that our very own Marvels of IAR, FTC team (Middle/High school Robotics team at IAR), has triumphed at the regional qualifier, earning the highest award—the Inspire Award. This is not just a victory for the team but a moment of pride for our entire Muslim community.

Marvels of IAR Tech Exploras, the all girls team, received a core values award in the State Championship. They concluded the season with 3 top awards in Robot design and Core values.
