This Ramadan, we’re investing $106,000 to enhance our worship experience with padded prayer spaces, clearer audio in our gym overflow, and improved campus accessibility. Your support helps create a more comfortable, welcoming, and spiritually enriching masjid for all.
Our beloved carpets have borne witness to over half a million sujood, serving as the foundation for our most intimate moments of worship. The Prophet (peace be upon him) reminded us that “Cleanliness is half of faith” (Sahih Muslim), and Allah commands, “The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day” (Qur’an 9:18). Maintaining and renewing our masjid’s sacred space is both a sign of our iman (faith) and a responsibility we carry with honor.
To enhance the prayer experience, we are adding padded underlayment beneath our existing carpets, reducing the strain on worshipers’ knees and backs while preserving the familiar beauty of our masjid. Additionally, we will rotate the carpets, ensuring that the most worn areas are refreshed for years to come. This project will improve both the upstairs and downstairs musallahs, with a total cost of $18,000 for downstairs and $14,000 for upstairs.

In times of overflow during Jumu’ah and large gatherings, our gym serves as a vital extension of the masjid, ensuring that every worshipper has a place to pray and engage in the khutbah. The Qur’an encourages us to “Beautify the Qur’an with your voices” (Sunan Abi Dawud), and to uphold this teaching, we are enhancing the gym’s audio system, acoustics, and visual capabilities to create a more immersive and meaningful experience.
This project includes:
📢 Upgraded speakers ($20,000): Ensuring crystal-clear recitation and khutbah delivery.
🔇 Soundproofing ($10,000): Allowing multiple programs to run without disruption.
📽️ Projectors and screens ($14,000): Enabling visual engagement for lectures, events, and educational sessions.
By investing in these enhancements, we reduce reliance on outsourced audio services, improve the spiritual atmosphere, and strengthen our community bonds by making the gym a more versatile and welcoming space. With your support, we can transform this essential facility into a hub for both worship and learning, ensuring every attendee feels connected and inspired.
Just as the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught that removing obstacles from the path is an act of charity (Sahih Muslim), ensuring safe and accessible walkways is part of our duty to maintain and improve our masjid’s surroundings. The Pathway to Prayer Project will enhance our campus by providing better walkways, gathering spaces, and durable surfaces for our community.
This initiative includes:
🚶 New sidewalk ($15,000): A paved path from the church parking lot to Gate 1, ensuring a smooth and safe route for worshippers.
🪑 Outdoor sitting area ($7,500): A welcoming space near the kitchen, fostering connection and community.
🔨 Concrete for maintenance area ($7,500): Improving the area next to the maintenance shed, creating a more functional and durable workspace.
💰 Total Project Cost: $30,000
