Your questions answered
The Islamic Association of Raleigh strives to provide an inclusive environment for our community members with special needs and disabilities.
The main building has a wheelchair-accessible prayer hall and bathrooms, as well as elevator access to the upper floors. IAR has a few wheelchairs available for use on site on a first-come, first-serve basis. Many Friday Khutbahs are streamed with ASL interpretation as well.
Please contact our Special Needs Facilitator, Sr. Arshiya Siddiqui, at [email protected] with any questions or requests.
IAR will offer an on-site babysitting service for Taraweeh worshipers. To register, please use this link.
InshaAllah, IAR will offer drive-through Iftar (evening) meals during the month of Ramadan, Monday through Thursday.
Needy, refugees, travelers, and those alone during Ramadan can pick up their Iftar meal to go between 6:00 and 7:00 PM.
Iftars will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
After considering the rate of inflation, Zakat ul Fitr for this year is determined to be $15 per person, and Fiddyah $8 per day (of missed fasting).
You can fulfill these obligations online, using our lobby kiosks, or with cash/check using the appropriate envelope.
Your masjid will livestream select Friday Reminders, Tarweeh Prayers, Qiyam, and more. You can tune in on our YouTube channel.
When parking at IAR, please remember the following:
If you have any security and safety issues please call: (984) 215-1854 or send an email to [email protected]
IAR’s cleaning staff and volunteers work tirelessly to keep your masjid clean and comfortable for worship. We maintain filtration systems and professional disinfectant treatments throughout the building.
Please be respectful of community spaces and clean up after yourself and your children.
Information for vendors for the Eid Bazaar will be posted soon.
Take advantage of the increased barakah by donating to your masjid this month by automating your giving through our Daily Sadaqa challenge or fundraiser on April 14th.
We rely on our generous community to create a lasting impact and ensure the continuous operations of your Masjid as the gathering place, school, and house of worship for Muslims across the Triangle.
Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.”
