Learning Modern Standard Arabic

The primary goal of our Arabic Made Easy Program is to help beginners and non-native speakers develop their Arabic language skills to begin reading the Holy Qur’an and grasp a better understanding of its text. The curriculum is based on the acclaimed book, “Learning Modern Standard Arabic,” which focuses on accelerating the mastery of reading and comprehending Arabic at a basic level.

This program is designed to provide students with the foundational skills necessary to understand the literary style of the Qur’an. Our approach emphasizes a straightforward yet often overlooked process, equipping students with essential skills alongside the fundamental abilities needed to process information during reading. By the end of this program, students will have a strong basis for further Arabic studies and a deeper connection with the Qur’an.

A distinguished Arabic language educator He is the author of the "Learn Modern Standard Arabic Through Quran'' series and currently teaches at Al Iman School, where he established and supervises the community Arabic Program.

The Arabic Made Easy Program is a comprehensive educational program designed to help beginners and non-native speakers develop their Arabic language skills. It aims to equip students with the ability to read and understand the Quran and communicate effectively in Arabic.

The program is designed for anyone aged 16 and above who wants to learn Arabic, whether they are beginners or have some prior knowledge of the language. It is particularly suited for busy Muslims seeking a flexible and comprehensive approach to learning Arabic.

No prior knowledge of Arabic is required to enroll in the foundational level. Our program is designed to take you from beginner to advanced levels, building your skills progressively.

The program is structured into three levels:

  • Foundational Arabic (Level 1): Basics of vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
  • Intermediate Arabic (Level 2): Enhanced vocabulary, complex grammar, and conversational skills.
  • Advanced Arabic (Level 3): Fluency and cultural proficiency, focusing on nuanced communication and Quranic understanding.

 

The next level, Intermediate Arabic (Level 2), will start in February. Stay tuned for specific dates and enrollment details.

Classes are scheduled as follows:

  • Saturdays from After Asr (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM)

Ustadh Marwan Hassan is the instructor. He has extensive knowledge in teaching Arabic and is the author of the book “Learning Modern Standard Arabic.”

Each semester is 16 weeks long, with one additional exam day, making a total of 17 weeks.

The curriculum is based on the acclaimed book “Learning Modern Standard Arabic.” You will need to purchase the book before the start of the program.
