Yes. Romantic relationships outside of marriage are prohibited in Islam. While this may feel difficult, Islam encourages marriage as the lawful and blessed way for men and women to build a relationship.

Allah says:

“Do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an abomination and is evil as a way.” (Qur’an 17:32)
