Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
All praise is due to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
As we approach the end of this blessed month of Ramadan, we pray that your fasting, prayers, and acts of devotion have been accepted. May Allah shower our community with His mercy and blessings during these final nights.
In alignment with the Ramadan-Eid declaration issued by the Triangle Imams Council on April 25, 2019, and based on astronomical reliable visibility-based data calculations indicating a strong likelihood of moonsighting on the West Coast of North America, the Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) will observe Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday, March 30, 2025, insha’Allah.
We recognize that some local triangle masajid and communities may follow different methodologies or interpretations regarding moonsighting. These differences are respected and rooted in valid Islamic scholarship.
We invite you and your families to join us for the Eid prayer on Sunday, March 30, and celebrate this joyous day together as a community.
May Allah accept from all of us and grant our hearts unity and our homes His light.
Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR)
We rely on our generous community to create a lasting impact and ensure the continuous operations of your Masjid as the gathering place, school, and house of worship for Muslims across the Triangle.
Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.”
