IAR Cemetery
Expansion Project
The Islamic Association of Raleigh owns and manages the Muslim Cemetery located in Wendell, North Carolina approximately 25 miles to the north east of the Islamic Association of Raleigh.
The IAR Cemetery, first used in 1994 is at 88% of its current capacity, this allows for roughly 1.5 years of janazahs to take place.
This expansion project will only be possible through our generous community. As we all return to Allah SWT one day, the cemetery in Wendell may be our resting place on earth.
Please consider donating to this cause as we strive to reach our capital goal of $200,000 to construct the cemetery and create an endowment for long-term maintenance.
Quran aya or hadith about cemetery
Quran chapter #
We rely on our generous community to create a lasting impact and ensure the continuous operations of your Masjid as the gathering place, school, and house of worship for Muslims across the Triangle.
Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.”
– The Holy Quran 2:274
