The IAR is seeking high school volunteers to help with facilitating both Eid Salah shifts. Youth will volunteer through the YASEER-Raleigh chapter. Registration is required.

Seeking Marketing Specialist

The Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) is seeking a motivated, trustworthy individual to serve in the role of Marketing Specialist. The position is a paid, part-time position requiring 20 hours per week with the potential for additional hours during peak periods.

Approach of Eid-ul-Adha

The Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) congratulates you on the approach of Eid-ul-Adha, expected on July 30 or 31.The IAR follows the official announcement of Eid-ul-Adha date by Saudi Arabia, as do the vast majority of fiqh councils and the ummah worldwide in observing a unified Day of Arafah and Eid holiday. More information about the logistics concerning our local Eid prayers, as permitted by government regulations, will be announced approximately one week prior to Eid.

UDHIYAH/QURBANI PROGRAM FOR 2020

The Social & Welfare Committee has selected Rohingya for
Udhiyah/Qurbani this year to be done through Islamic Relief and
Bedesh. The cost is $150 per goat. Rohingya was selected because many
of our fellow Muslims are facing chronic food shortages and starvation.

The money collection will begin IMMEDIATELY, and the deadline to
pay for Udhiyah/Qurbani through IAR is July 28, 2020.

If you would like to get Udhiyah done through IAR, you can purchase the tickets and pay online, or in the kiosks in the lobby, or directly to the Social & Welfare Committee Office.

We will be collecting feedback using this form now until Friday evening on July 10th. After that we will be working on reviewing your feedback and incorporating it into our work. Seeking Experienced Grants Specialist

The IAR, a non-profit membership-based community organization, seeks an experienced Grants Specialist. The Grants Specialist will lead the research, writing, and submission of grant proposals, letters of intent (LOI), grant reports, and other materials of correspondence needed for Islamic Association of Raleigh’s grant writing, fundraising, development, strategic plan, and operating goals.

Important Hajj Update: 6/22/2020

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj & Umrah has decided to allow only local pilgrims of different nationalities to attend Hajj for this year in limited numbers. All international hajj has been canceled. And with a heavy heart, we are suspending the IAR Hajj Package for 2020.

May Allah allow us to return to The Haramain soon. May Allah accept our intentions, and please take care of yourself and your family, stay safe!

Al-Maidah Kitchen Reopening

Al-Maidah is open again. The current hours of operation are:

  • Monday-Thursday: 11 AM – 3 PM
  • Friday: 11 AM – 4 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Al-Maidah is also releasing an app so you can order online. App info will be be released soon

IAR School Board

The IAR School Board team formation has been completed.
The purpose of the school board is to provide strategic planning and guidance to the 3 schools by optimizing the usage of resources and creating an environment of cooperation and potential consolidation between all schools.
