Shura Elections

IAR Shura Elections will be held on Sunday November 17 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. The voting will take place at the IAR Library. Please bring a valid picture ID.

The Friday Night Program on November 15 after Isha prayers will be an opportunity for the Shura candidates to introduce themselves.

The final voting and shura-eligible members lists are posted on the bulletin boards.

Discover STEM

Join us on Friday November 8 after Isha prayers to learn more about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.

Br Mirza Faizan is a world renowned aerospace scientist and a founder of Discover STEM.

There will be a presentation about Discover STEM and how it can help motivate and encourage students to think, create, and innovate.

This presentation is for kids of all ages and it will also highlight how Muslim youth are making a difference in society by their innovations.

Quran Recitation

IAR is delighted to announce “Levels of Tilawah: A Night of Qur’an Recitation” on Friday November 1 after Isha prayers.

Quran recitations by Sh Hoosain Dalvi, Sh Mohamed Badawy, Imam AbuTaleb, and other community Huffadh.

Fund Raising Committee

We are looking for a volunteer to lead the Fund Raising Committee.

This lead position volunteer will serve as the chairman of the Fund Raising Committee.

The chairman is responsible to form a team, develop a fundraising plan, execute the plan and assist the organization in raising funds.

Family Night

IAR Youth Committee invites you and your family to a Family Fun Night on Thursday October 31 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

On Importance of Tranquility

Our young Quran students will present the Friday Night Program on October 25 after Maghrib prayers.

The theme is “Understanding the Ayaat Sakinah or Tranquility”.

Recitation by Sumer Busisou, presentations by Mairah Khan and Yousuf Siddiqui. Closing remarks by Sh Misbah Badawy.

Shattering Doubts

IAR presents a one day workshop on Saturday November 2 at the Talley Student Union at NCSU.

Imam Abutaleb will be the key speaker. The title of the workshop is “Shattering Doubts: Finding faith when the mind questions God.”

The objective is to empower us on how to deal with a lifetime of questions.

Annual General Body Meeting

IAR would like invite our community to the General Body Meeting on Friday October 18 between Maghrib and Isha in the Main Prayer Hall.

The primary purpose of this meeting is to obtain community’s feedback. We also plan to present the annual report, as well as the status of IAR Businesses.

IAR Basketball League

Anyone in High School or College can sign up their teams for the IAR Basketball League.

Minimum of seven players per team.

Register your team to play in the league. Limited spots. First eight teams to sign up and pay registration fee before October 25 deadline.

Season begins on November 1 and ends in December.

Weight of a Nation

The Imams are excited to announce a weekly class, “Weight of a Nation: Implementing the Prophet’s Example”.

The class meets every week on Saturdays at 8 am in the Women’s Prayer Hall on the second floor.
