Do I need to learn Arabic immediately?
No. You can begin praying and making dua in your own language. But, you should prioritize learning the minimum to be able to complete your prayers. Over time, learning Arabic is highly encouraged so you can understand the Qur’an and recite prayers as taught by the Prophet ﷺ.

Scholars agree Arabic is not a requirement for becoming Muslim, but striving to learn it shows commitment to understanding Allah’s words.
