Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Current North Carolina teaching license, or in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred, though not required.
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of NC State Standard Course of Study to develop proficient and effective lesson plans tailored to grade level/subject areas.
- Establishment of a safe, orderly environment fostering student empowerment.
- Management of various classroom behaviors with a focus on minimizing disruptions to learning.
- Active participation in the school’s process and procedures at Creative Scholars Academy to ensure equitable and valuable education for all students.
- Collaboration with school personnel to cultivate a professional learning community.
- Development of goals and strategies through the school improvement plan.
- Openness to constructive feedback from lead teachers, coaches, and administrators.
- Ability to differentiate instruction according to students’ needs.
- Collaborative mentoring and support for teachers to enhance department or grade-level effectiveness.
- Valuing the differences and appreciation for each student’s contributions through the building of positive, appropriate relationships.
- Regular assessment of students, employing both formative and summative methods.
- Competency in technology and instructional media to augment learning.
- Engagement with parents and guardians to promote positive behavioral support and a nurturing learning environment.
- Fulfillment of other duties as assigned by the Director.
