I hope this letter finds you all in the best of health and Iman. It is with immense appreciation that I write to introduce the 2023 General Body report of the Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR). As the Chairman of IAR, I am honored to present this report, which highlights the remarkable accomplishments of our Imams, staff, committee chairs and dedicated volunteers over the past year.

The strength of our community has always resided in our unity and diversity. Nearly 40 years after our founding, the Islamic Association of Raleigh continues to grow and remain a pillar of stability in an otherwise unstable world. Our collective dedication to the principles of Islam, community service, and mutual support has allowed us to overcome numerous challenges and achieve remarkable milestones.

In the 2023 General Body report, you will find a comprehensive overview of the achievements and contributions made by various committees within our organization. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our volunteers and community members. From our schools and adult educational initiatives to outreach programs, from social services to interfaith dialogues, we have made significant strides in all areas.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to all the committees, volunteers, and community members who have dedicated their time and effort to the betterment of our community. Your commitment to the core values of Islam, which include compassion, generosity, and unity, has played a pivotal role in shaping IAR into what it is today.

As we continue to grow and evolve, let us remember that our diversity is our strength. Our ability to come together as one, regardless of our backgrounds, is what makes us truly unique and resilient. Together, we can face any challenge and continue to thrive, not only as a community but as a beacon of hope and guidance for others.

Moving into 2024 and beyond, I am thrilled to share with you that, after much anticipation, we are excited about the long-awaited opening of our newest location on Page Road near the Research Triangle Park (RTP). This expansion is a testament to our community’s growth and the increasing need for an additional campus where we can come together for worship, education, and community-building. This milestone marks a significant step in our remarkable history, and we look forward to the opportunities it will bring for our youth and future generations to thrive.

In conclusion, I want to thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication to the Islamic Association of Raleigh. May Allah (SWT) bless our community, grant us unity and strength, and enable us to continue our mission to support, develop and empower people to understand and live Islam with utmost clarity, thereby becoming positive contributors to society.
