“the helpers”
For New Muslims

You don’t walk this alone.

When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah, the Ansar — the helpers — opened their homes and hearts to the new community. We carry that name and that responsibility for new Muslims at IAR.

FAQ

Common questions before visiting.

Do I need to be Muslim to visit?
Not at all. The mosque is open to people of every faith and background. Most of our visitors come simply to learn.
What should I wear?
Modest, comfortable clothing — long sleeves and pants or a long skirt. We do not require women to wear a headscarf.
Will I have to participate in a prayer?
No. You’re welcome to observe, but no one will ask you to do anything you’re not comfortable with.
How long does a visit take?
A typical tour is 45–60 minutes. Group presentations can be tailored — just let us know.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost. It’s a core part of our faith and culture to provide this as a service.
Can I take Shahadah today?
Yes — if you’re ready, one of our Ambassadors can meet with you. Reach out using the form or call us, and we’ll arrange it as soon as possible.

We are delighted to highlight the amazing work of our community in this impact report.
