The IAR School Board provides a coherent long-term vision for Islamic Education at IAR and focuses on strategic planning for future growth for both Al-Iman and An-Noor Schools. IAR is seeking applications from volunteers to fill two member positions on the School Board.
A short-list of the selected candidates will be presented to the Shura for final approval and appointment to a 6-year term.
These positions require leadership skills with consensus building strengths, ability to work and contribute in a team setting, strong interest in Islamic Education and the commitment and drive to take full-time schools at IAR to the next level.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY: Recommend applicants have a college degree (preferred) with experience working in the field of education or management and strategic planning. Recommend applicants should not be member of the IAR Shura, Executive Committee or IAR Board or an IAR staff member. Individuals must be physically residing in the greater Triangle area, should be at least 30 years of age and also a United States citizen or permanent resident.
INELIGIBILITY: Those employed by Al-Iman and/or An-Noor Schools and/or part of the two Schools Administrations or the two School Committees are not eligible.
