The Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) along with representatives from Triangle area mosques and community centers met with law enforcement officials on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 to discuss the safety and security of our community centers, mosques and schools. The meeting, which was attended by Federal, State and local law enforcement officials involved a productive discussion on the steps law enforcement is taking to work with our community for the safety of us all.
"We believe that the partnership with law enforcement is very important to our community, and for the community at large," says Mohammed Elgamel, Chairman of the Islamic Association of Raleigh.
IAR is committed to continuing these discussions to ensure the safety of our community and plans to continue working in tandem with law enforcement to address any threats, concerns or fears that face our community.
As always, please reach out to us if you have questions or concerns.
