Introductory Islamic Classes
Introduction to Islam
Every Sunday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on the third floor of main building at the Islamic Center of Raleigh.
This class is held every Sunday to introduce Islam to others. You do not need to call us to reserve a spot or inquire if the class is indeed being held. There will be a person to greet you and answer your questions about Islam.
If you would like to have an opportunity to view the Muslim prayers at 1:00 pm, please arrive a little before the time. The security office can direct you to the prayer where you can sit down and observe how we pray. After the prayers there will be a short presentation about Islam and you will also have an opportunity to ask us questions about Islam.
This informal class is intended for non-Muslims but Muslims are highly encouraged to attend with their non-Muslim guests. The class introduces non-Muslims to the basic articles of Islam and focuses on topics that are brought up by the participants.
Only main issues of the faith are discussed. Any questions about Islamic law (fiqh) are forwarded to the Imam of the Islamic Center of Raleigh who are better equipped to answer those questions.
No registration is required to attend this class. This class is held every week and you do not have to sign up or make prior arrangements to attend this class. Think of this class as Office Hours of your university professor, this time is reserved for anybody to come and ask introductory questions about Islam.
If you have questions, please contact the IAR Outreach Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
