SUMMARY:Backpacking 101
DESCRIPTION:The Sports & Recreation committee is happy to announce it’s very first backpacking retreat that is meant to be for beginners/first time backpackers! We will be venturing off into the backcountry of Western NC and spending the day trekking through rugged terrains and sleeping under a starry night sky. Witness the beauty of Allah SWT that surrounds us! This is an overnight event that is geared specifically towards young adult males aged 21+ and has a limited number of spots. \nDate: June 24-25th (1 night) \nLocation: Western NC \nThere will be multiple experienced backpackers that will be leading the group. The plan is to leave after Fajr on Saturday morning at IAR and return by Sunday afternoon. There will be multiple drivers and food will be determined prior to the trip. Food responsibilities will be divided among those that are going. Further information will be provided after registration. If you are interested in attending please complete the form below as completely as possible. \nRegistration deadline is June 16th.
