The IAR seeks qualified candidates for the volunteer role of Chairperson of the Al Iman School Committee (AISC). Al Iman School is a PreK-8th grade institution with over 300 students and nearly 50 full-time and part-time employees. The Al Iman School Committee constitutes the governing board of the School and conducts the financial oversight, strategy, and policymaking for the School. The Chairperson of the Al Iman School Committee is nominated by the AISC and IAR School Board to the Shura for approval to a 3-year volunteer term to lead and facilitate the activities of the AISC. The role requires approximately 10 hours per week of time commitment. Additionally, the Chairperson has fiduciary and signature authority for Al Iman School. Qualified candidates should ideally have experience in the following:
- Project Management
- Policy making and academic governance and strategy
- Familiarity with academic and Islamic curricula
- Familiarity with the IAR and Al-Iman School
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and leading teams
- Managing direct reports
