The Social & Welfare Committee has selected Niger for Udhiyah (Qurbani) this year.
Niger has been selected based upon the information provided by Islamic Relief that as many as 20 million people are facing chronic food shortages across the Sahel region of West Africa, some of whom are on the brink of starvation. Eight million people are already in need of emergency assistance in Niger,Mali and Chad.
All of our udhiyah will be done through Islamic Relief USA. The cost for performing Udhiyah in Niger is $75 per goat.
The money collection will begin on Sunday October 7 and the deadline to pay for Udhiyah/Qurbani through IAR is October 21. If you would like to get Udhiyah done through IAR you can pay the required amount to either Imam Baianonie, Br Ameenullah (Management) or Br Munir Abdullah (Social & Welfare Committee).
