The upcoming Friday Night Program between Maghrib and Isha features a talk entitled "2012 Youth In America, Role of Parents" by Imam Amir Abdul-Malik from California.
Amir Abdul-Malik reverted to Islam and is a well known Islamic activist in the United States. He served as the Imam of Masjid in Oakland for over ten years, and is a graduate of San Francisco State University. Since the early 1990s he has been a frequent guest lecturer at dozens of Muslim Student Association events and Islamic conferences. He is the founder of California Muslim Movement for Human Rights, and does teaching and counseling under Youth Organized for the Understanding of Their Heritage (YOUTH).
